Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated

I am truly humbled to bring you greetings on behalf of the members of the High Desert Pearls, an Official Interest Group of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated ®. We are located in the High Desert of San Bernardino County, serving the areas of Adelanto, Apple Valley, Barstow, Hesperia, and Victorville.  What began as an interest to bring “Service to all Mankind” to the High Desert over 15 years ago, became a reality on February 18, 2023 when, under the recommendation of the ”Poised to Lead” Far Western Regional Director, Shelby D. Boagni, we were approved to be an Official Interest Group.

 

Our group is comprised of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated ® General members who are Life Members, Silver Stars, former Chapter Basilei, former chapter members, former chapter officers and one Pearl member. We range from 2 years to 75 years of  service to Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated ®. We are educators, attorneys, health professionals, lawyers, corporate executives, entertainment professionals, social workers, accountants, military officers, and entrepreneurs.

 

Under the leadership of our International President, Danette Anthony Reed, and the “Soaring to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood” administration,  it is our vision to become the catalyst for cohesion between all groups working toward the improvement of our community.
